Toshiba Regza R1 and H1 Series LCD HDTVs

Toshiba has launched the Regza R1 and H1 series LCD HDTV in Japan, all with CCFL backlit instead of LED. Both, the R1 and H1 are based on IPS LCD panel. Toshiba REGZA R1 Series incorporates, models with diagonals 32, 37 and 42 inches and Toshiba REGZA H1 Series available with 32 and 37-inch diagonals.

The R1 and H1 both support recording to USB hard drive and the H1 adds a 500GB internal hard drive. Both Regza series are equipped with digital TV tuner. They have HDMI ports and 10Wx2 built-in speakers. Models with 37-inch or above offer 1920×1080 resolution while models with small screen size provide 1366×768. The H1 displays would be starting at $1,600 (~ Rs. 73,500), while the new R1 line will be starting at $1,400 (~ Rs. 64,200).
